Malahat Nation Annual Champions Gala
Role: Marketing and Communications Lead (Contract)
I joined the Malahat Nation team in April of 2015 to lead all Marketing and Communications activities for the 3rd Annual Malahat Nations Champions Gala which happened on October 16, 2015. For six months, we planned and organized what would be the biggest gala of so far. Throughout my contract, I was responsible for the following marketing and communications activities which help to lead a successful fundraising gala that raised $190,000 for the Malahat Nation’s social programmes.
These activities include:
> Development of an Integrated Marketing and Communications Plan to kick off all Marketing and Communications activities
> Graphic Design of all Marketing Materials: Letterhead, Save the Date, Brochure, Banners, Agenda, Thank You Cards & more.
> Creating Public Relation Materials: Press Release, Media Advisories, Letters to Editors, Feature Articles, & more.
> Strategic placement of event posters both online and on location
> Securing media sponsorship’s and placing ad’s across web and print
> Developing a database to communicate with sponsors and donors
> Designing, building, maintaining and hosting the Malahat Nation website: MalahatNationChampions.ca
