Role: Social Media Management and Marketing
I started working with Kate in February of 2015. At the time she only had Facebook and was unsure how to leverage it to grow awareness of herself as an artist.
After getting to know Kate and creating a social media marketing strategy for her, I was able to determine that Twitter would be the most effective marketing tool for her.
Much of Kate’s art and writing is inspired by her life and the PTSD she suffers from childhood trauma. With that knowledge I suggested to her that we start a weekly #PTSDchat on Twitter.
From the date of this blog, we are now into our 12th week of the #PTSDchat and it has grown exponentially. Kate is recognized online as Thought Leader in the online community for PTSD and held with high regard as a mentor and guide for others with PTSD.
The #PTSDchat happens every Wednesday night and reaching 1000’s of people with many regular engagers. Every Wednesday, we will see approx. 500+ Tweets with the hashtag #PTSDchat. The chat continues to grow weekly and gains new followers. We plan to continue to grow the chat with a goal of 1000+ Tweets per 1hour weekly chat which will give a top tier standing in the Twitter chat world.
The chat has been an amazing tool for Kate to build brand awareness as well build a strong community of followers who depend on the chat for peer support.
